Frozen food refrigerated transport
Frozen food transport is a fit problem: the vehicle must hold the required range, carry the payload and cover the lane. ColdRun turns those requirements into one request and sends it only to suitable refrigerated transport partners.
Temperature
Frozen does not mean one universal temperature
Frozen ready meals, vegetables, meat and bakery products can have different handling standards. Enter the exact range your product needs so partners quote against the real cold-chain requirement.
Common loads
- Frozen vegetables and fruit
- Frozen ready meals
- Frozen meat and poultry
- Frozen bakery and cream products
What the request should include
- Mention pallet count, box count and approximate volume where known.
- Specify whether the pickup and delivery points have dock access.
- Use special instructions for pre-cooling, gate timing or paperwork.
Vehicle fit
Matched before partners quote
The platform narrows the requirement by temperature, route and payload. You still compare partner quotes before anything is booked.
Mini reefer for smaller city loads
14 ft to 24 ft reefers for regional distribution
32 ft reefer or container options for bulk movement
Part-load request option for smaller consignments
FAQ
Frozen food transport questions
Can I move a small frozen food consignment?
Yes. Mark the requirement as part load if you do not need the whole vehicle. A partner can then quote based on available space and compatibility.
Will chilled and frozen goods be mixed automatically?
No. ColdRun does not automatically consolidate incompatible loads. Temperature and product compatibility have to be clear before a partner quotes.
What decides the vehicle size?
The stated weight, approximate volume and vehicle preference decide which sizes are shown to partners. Leaving preference open usually gets more quotes.
